TV Star Parade: How William Shatner Makes Love (1968)

I just realized that there is a "shatner on sex" tag, and a "look at his butt" tag. Busy going through those entries now. :)

haha love those sex quotes - he is hilarious! I'm sure he's pansexual -- I remember reading a message board a long time ago and there was someone posting there - a guy - who said he had sex with shatner back in the '70s. Apparently Shatner told him that it was the first time he was having sex with a man, but by the way he went at it, this guy thought the Shat had more experience than he was saying!

I'll look around to see if I can find those posts.

Well, he certainly loves women way too much to believe that! and as I mentioned in past posts, I just can't see him lusting after men, let alone love them! he might experiment a little, but not to the extent to make him an expert! I'm still laughing at that guy's observation XD

Haha I'll look for the posts - I can definitely believe it - the late 60s/70s was the age of free love after all, and bisexuality was very trendy at the time. Plus Shatner obviously equates everything with sex, from flying a plane to sitting in his garden at his ranch. If he has a fantasy of making love to every member of his audience, it's not too far a stretch to say he would be ok with experimenting with a man.... he certainly has on screen chemistry with both men and women as well, which slash writers picked up on and which he himself played into on Boston Legal.

I certainly don't think he's gay - he obviously loves women, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tried stuff with men as well. I bet if he were 50-60 years younger and part of my generation, he would be more open about all of this. He already drops hints here and there - like he does about his toupee - despite his age!

I do find myself staring at his behind a lot. :)

It's official, I was born at the wrong time! I should've been born a lot earlier so I could be one of the lucky actresses who got to date(and other things) him!

That was a fascinating article about Bill and how he LOVES mini-skirts. It was the 60's things that were written back them wouldn't fly today.

He's such a romantic OMG and a tiger all in one! I'm sure that phone at the studio rang off the hook for him knowing he was single and Bill having the actress of the week on the set.

Let me tell you know one is a better kisser then Bill I saw it close and in person. At a WSF Weekend back in the 80's a member paid a lot of money for an autograph picture of Bill all going to charity. He shook her hand and thanked her then he looked at her and pulled her in slowly and kissed for on the lips for a few seconds. She said he didn't use his tongue but teased her with it. OMG!!!! She was ready to faint and everyone there was left with mouths open for awhile. He's so smooth and knows what women like.

When that time machine is ready give me a ring. ;)

I hate romantic movies let alone watching actors kiss! but dear lord... Shatner has certainly caught my attention when he kissed, I just love the kind of kisses he uses on the lady of the week on Star Trek, I noticed how gentle he is with virgins and how forceful he is with experienced woman, and that kiss with the android was really great, it just combined both the gentle and forceful kiss to truly overwhelm her and break her down XD but it was one of his kisses on T.J. Hooker that made me have my first sexy Shatner dream *blush* I really loved that kiss... however it's his kissing scene in Kingdom of the Spiders that is my absolute favorite, only because he teased her a couple of times before he leaned in and kissed her! he is SUCH a tease and I LOVE IT *siiiiiiighs*

So... I just realized that this article reads like a fanfic! seriously, just replace Bill Shatner with Captain Kirk and you have your het Star Trek fiction right there! god this is so hilarious and awesome at the same time, I'm in the middle of reading a K/S/f when I remembered the beginning of this article, smiley and playful <3 two traits that I love about Shatner so much <3 and I'm always pleased to read about a smiley and playful Kirk too~

Married way too young

Bill just got married way too young. Wasn't Gloria older than he was. About the ladies, yes he loved to kiss them, and oh so tenderly he did. But Bill was a very lonely man. He hardly had any friends in school, hell he even sent Valentine's Day cards to himself, to make him important. So self esteem was there, I am sure. So to be able to be an actor you can pretend that you are the best at what you do. And he was in a profession where he could reinvent himself constantly.

I think when he was seducing all the women, he was really seducing himself, or how he would love to be loved. That is how lonely he felt. Always to have someone, never ever wanting to be alone. A man, always needing someone, and that horrible fear he had and still does...his fear of death. He is a very complicated man.

About the gay stuff...I can't help but watch how he checks out Capt. John Christopher in the episode Tomorrow is Yesterday. If you haven't seen that episode in a long time go check it out again...but it is apparent HE IS CHECKING HIM OUT...and he's also looking at Spock too in that episode, licking his lips in one scene...no girls in that episode, and this persistent hard on he keeps getting on the set. Watch the episode Obsession he has one there, on the bridge as he walks in Spock's direction.

Did Bill not mention in his autobiography that on two occasions men hit on him.

One time is when he ended up in New York..and went to a play or something ..there were go go girls and some guy offered him a ticket ...and he accepted...and he was enjoying himself, up until the guy started touching his knee and he ran out of the theater so fast....

The other occasion was also a play of some sort and he had to wear a jacket. The guy said he had one that would fit him...As he walked in with the guy the man closed the door and to Bill's shock there were other men, and one said...Oh, he'll do nicely...and Bill proceeded to run around a table for quite awhile before escaping their clutches...

So Bill has that look even some men can't help but to be drawn too.

Did he do it with that guy...only Bill really knows...maybe he'll shock everyone in his next bio and say he did...but it was a different era back then...love...love was the motto...so who knows..

Now, Bill is happy. With a woman who is not an actress. And things for him have finally come full circle...it takes a long time to find that person who loves you for who you are. Warts and all. And in the process Bill, I think likes himself a bit more...
